Passport Offices Near Las Vegas - No Appointment Required

Scheduling an appointment at a Las Vegas passport application acceptance facility has proven to be a major challenge according to the e-mail messages and comments received. Phones often go unanswerered or leave callers on hold indefinitely. Those who decide to visit one of the facilities are told they must first make an appointment.

As a privately-owned website, U.S. Passport Service Guide cannot resolve the issue. However, we do want to help our visitors obtain their passports as quickly and efficiently as possible.

For this reason, we created a list of the closest passport application acceptance facilities to Las Vegas that do not require an appointment. We realize that this is not an ideal solution since applicant must travel to nearby towns in order to submit applications. However, it may be better than spending days on end trying to get through to one of the facilities in Las Vegas.

Please call before visiting. While the facilities below are listed as not requiring an appointment, this needs to be confirmed as well as hours of operation.

We also recommend residents of Las Vegas register a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of State. The more citizens complain about this issue the great the possibility that something will be done to remedy it.

Facitilies in other cities within the state can be found on the Nevada passport offices page.

Routine processing Los Angeles and San Francisco. An appointment is required.

Those who are unable to personally visit one of the regional agencies can employ the services of a registered courier such as Rush My Passport.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Mailing delays are impacting passport processing. The Department of State's processing times begin when applications are received at a passport agency or center and not when you mail them or apply at a local acceptance facility. Standard service may take between 8 and 11 weeks. This timeframe does not include delivery time. Mailing times vary across the country.

Expedited service takes from 5 to 7 weeks exluding mailing times on the front and back end. Mailing delays may be significant so requesting 1-2-day mailing may greatly help.

Regional passport agencies are offering extremely limited in-person services if you need to travel internationally in the next 72 hours. Those with qualified life-or-death emergencies are prioritized.

Life-or-death emergencies are serious illnesses, injuries, or deaths in your immediate family (parent, legal guardian, child, spouse, sibling, and grandparent) that require you to travel outside the United States within 72 hours (3 business days).

If you need to travel due to a qualified life-or-death emergency, please call the National Passport Information Center for an appointment:
