Application processing is estimated to take 4 to 6 weeks for standard
service. Those who need to get new passports in a hurry can request
expedited service which takes just 2 to 3 weeks.
You can submit the application for a passport at the regional processing center
if you have urgent travel plans. If you are unable to travel from New
Haven to the regional agency, you can have a registered expediting
service submit the application for expedited passport service.
