Miami Passport Agency Expedited Service
The Miami Passport Agency processes passport application on the
same day for those with urgent travel needs. If you are scheduled to
travel abroad within the next 2-4 weeks, you can set up an appointment
to get your passport application expedited at the Miami Agency. The
first step is to call the automated appointment service which is
available 24/7. Appointments can also be made through the new
online appointment system.
If you are not traveling or needing to submit your passport for
an foreign entry visas within 2-4 weeks, you can apply at the nearest
passport office.

Processing Times
Passports are issued according to travel plans. Same-day passports are issued in emergency situations.
*This agency can issue both the U.S. passport book and U.S. passport card on-site.
COVID-19 UPDATE: This agency is currently processing passport
applications. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect both
workforce and customers, agencies are currently limiting in-person
appointments to customers who are traveling internationally in the next
72 hours (3 business days) due to a life-or-death emergency.
Life-or-death emergencies are serious illnesses, injuries, or deaths in
your immediate family (parent, legal guardian, child, spouse, sibling,
and grandparent) that require you to travel outside the United States
within 72 hours (3 business days).
You
can apply for routine service and expect to receive a passport in 10-12
weeks. You also have the option of paying an additional fee for
expedited service to receive your passport in 4-6 weeks.

MTA ROUTE: Buses are located at the Miami International Airport
Lower level Ramps. Bus Route 36 arrives at NE 15 and Biscayne
Boulevard; this is approximately 1 minute in walking distance to the
Passport Agency.
METRO MOVER: The Passport Agency is located across the street from the Metro Mover Omni Station.
Driving Directions
From Miami International Airport: Take ramp SR- 953 South/NW
42nd AVE/N Le Jeune Rd toward South Le Jeune/Coral Gables. Take ramp
right for SR-836/Dolphin Expy East toward Downtown. Keep straight onto
I-395 East. At exit 2A, take ramp left for N.E. 2nd Ave. toward
Biscayne Blvd. /Arenas. Turn left onto NE 2nd Ave/Abel Holtz Blvd. Turn
right onto NE 15th St/Alvah Chapman Blvd.
Parking: Metered parking is available on Biscayne Blvd and North
Bayshore Drive. There is also a parking lot (hourly and daily fees
apply) in the OMNI building, as well as other adjacent parking lots in
the immediate vicinity of the building. Parking Rates subject to change
without notice.

What to Do When You Arrive for Your Appointment
at the Miami Passport Agency
- You will need your Social Security Number or your
confirmation number.
- Please arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to your
appointment. Earlier arrivals will not be admitted.
- Late arrivals, 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment,
will have to reschedule their appointments.
- Upon entry to the building, you will go through security,
including metal detectors.
- Go to the Information Counter (Window #1) where your appointment will be verified.
- You will be given a numbered ticket with the approximate,
current waiting time at the bottom. (We do our best to keep the waiting time
as short as possible.)
- When your number is called and/or appears on the television
monitor, go to the number of the window indicated.
