Question: I found one US passport on the road (Near Del amo shopping mall, Torrance, CA) on 26th Nov 2010 with semi damaged condition and do not know whom should I handover.

I contacted USPS first and they replied to contact National Passport Information Center.

If you will let me know, then I will send accordingly.

Answer: Please send the passport in a sturdy envelope to the address below.

U.S. Department of State
Passport Services
Consular Lost/Stolen Passport Section
1111 19th Street, NW, Suite 500
Washington, DC 20036

I found a US Passport in the street in London, called the persons emergency number and was told in no uncertain terms to go away and stop being a liar.

I was hurt that I made an effort to call from the UK on my home phone to the US and treated like that.

Peter,

Sorry to hear you were treated so rudely when attempting to do a good deed. Hope that doesn't deter you from doing good in the future.

The only address we have is the DC address on this page. You might try contacting the U.S. Embassy in London for help.

Best regards,

William
