Applications are processed in 4 to 6 weeks for routine service and
2 to 3 weeks for expedited service. Processing times are estimates and can
take either more or less time depending on the demand at the time you
submit your application.
Applicants who need to obtain a passport more quickly can schedule an appointment at the center in Hot Springs, AR or New Orleans, LA. Those who cannot take the time to visit the regional agency can employ the services of a registered expediter.
