My husband is still living in the Philippines, how can I get consent?
by: Anonymous

Question: I would like to apply for my passport for my 7-year-old and 10-year-old kids. However, I don't know the process of getting consent from my husband since he is still living abroad and we are US citizens. Please assist, thank you.

Answer: The father may complete Form DS-3053 (one for each child), have it notarized at the U.S. Embassy in Manila and mail these to you with photocopies of the IDs he presented to the notary.
