Question: What if I put that I've never been married on my passport application but I actually have?
I have been married for 15 years but my husband and I separated after 7 years of marriage. So I wanted to know what happens if I put on my passport that I've never been married.
Answer: False statements made knowingly and willfully in passport applications, including affidavits or other documents submitted
to support this application, are punishable by fine and/or imprisonment under the provisions of 18 USC 1001, 18 USC 1542, and/or 18
USC 1621.
