How long is the Brazil eVisa valid for?

You can apply for an extension of your eVisa with the Federal Police of Brazil, but you must make sure that your application is submitted before your current visa expires.

To get a Brazil Tourist eVisa, the following documents are typically required from visa applicants:

  • Valid passport: Your passport must be signed, have a validity of at least one month from the date of application, and have two blank visa pages

  • Passport photo: A recent, passport-size (2×2 inch or ca. 5×5 cm) picture of the visa applicant in color is required

  • Additional supporting documents: Depending on your specific circumstances and the purpose of your visit, you may be required to provide additional supporting documents

For example, if you are visiting family or friends in Brazil, you may need an invitation letter from your host.

For applicants under 18, submit the following, along with the documents mentioned above:

If only one parent is listed on the birth certificate, only their signature is needed. If one parent has sole custody, include a notarized copy of the court order.

  • For children of Brazilian parent(s): Include a Declaration of Non-citizenship (Declaração de Não-Cidadania), signed by the Brazilian parents/legal guardians

  • If a parent has passed away, please provide a copy of their death certificate

  • Copies of passports or photo IDs for both parents: Ensuring the name on the ID matches the parent’s name on the child’s birth certificate (otherwise provide documentation proving the name change, such as a marriage certificate or court order)
