Is it possible to get a paper copy of your passport online?

Question: I ordered my passport two weeks ago but I need it to fly next week. What can I do?
Answer: It is not possible to obtain a copy of a passport online. If you applied two weeks ago and did not request expedited service, it is highly probable that your application has not been processed. Routine service usually takes from 4 to 5 weeks.
Since you plan to travel next week, you need to contact the National Passport Information Center by calling their toll-free number at 1-877-487-2778 and schedule an appointment at the Houston Passport Agency.
If there is no date available through the automated system prior to your departure date, then you might want to visit the regional agency without an appointment. Note, you will be required to show evidence of your departure date.
