How can I have my passport done in one day?

by Javier
(Miami, FL )

Question: I received a phone call today from the Miami Passport Agency regarding the status of my passport application. My passport application was filed last May 4th but it got lost somewhere in the process.

Inside this package was my certificate of Naturalization (original) and all other personal information. I have tickets purchased to travel out of the country on June 30th.

The representative from the Miami Passport Agency told me that I could resubmit my application with a copy of my naturalization certificate which I have. I made copies of this certificate.

Please help me process my application in time for my June 30th trip.

Answer: Usually it is necessary to schedule an appointment at a regional agency in order to submit an application. However, in emergency cases such as yours, you can visit the Miami agency and explain the situation when you arrive. For more information about the agency, click the link below.
