How long can I stay in the country with the China Tourist Visa?
There are three options to choose from via iVisa:

Single-entry visa: 10 years after issued validity and allows you to stay in China for up to 90 days Per Entry.

Double-entry visa: 10 years after issued validity and allows you to stay in China for up to 90 days Per Entry.

Multiple-entry visa: 10 years after issued validity and allows you to stay in China for up to 90 days Per Entry.
Only for US residents: You can select a 10-year multiple-entry visa during the online process, but it's up to the Chinese Embassy to grant you this validity. Just a heads-up, choosing it doesn't guarantee you'll get it.
China Tourist Visa: Required documents
To kick things off, all we need is a copy of your passport bio page and a passport photo.

Valid passport: It must have at least 6 months of validity and two blank visa pages

Copy of the passport bio page: As well as copies of any previous Chinese Visa pages (if applicable)

Travel itinerary: Including a confirmed return flight ticket, planned activities and destinations in China, confirmed accommodation bookings, etc.

If you apply for a visa in a country different from your citizenship, you must submit documents proving your legal residency status there. This document could be a utility bill, driver's license, or the official residence permit.

If you've changed your name recently, you must provide proof of this.

Chinese citizens residing overseas or those who have obtained foreign citizenship, must submit copies of any previous Chinese passports, Chinese permanent residence permit, or previous Chinese visas.

If a child under 18 years old is traveling to China some extra documents are required, such as a birth certificate.

Other documents may be necessary when traveling with a child, such as a copy of the parent's passport who isn’t traveling. They may also have to come to the Visa Application Center personally to sign a declaration of consent.

Only for Kyrgyzstan residents: Invitation letter from a travel agent issued by the Minister of Tourism and Culture to apply.

Only for US citizens/residents: Where you stay form
The Chinese Embassy or Visa Application Center may ask for additional documents if they find it necessary.

Do I need the Tourist Visa if I’m transiting in China?
A foreign citizen who is transiting through China by air is exempted from a visa if they will only stay in the transit area of the airport for less than 24 hours.
You must have a valid connecting flight ticket with confirmed seating on an international flight.
