What do I do if I forgot to include my passport with my renewal application?
Question: I forgot to include my passport with my renewal application. What do I do?
Answer: The application will be returned to you. You can then resubmit it and include your passport.
If the delay creates a situation in which you need to renew your passport more quickly, you can request expedited services. There is an additional $60 fee but you should get your passport renewed in 2-3 weeks instead of the 4-6 weeks that it takes for regular processing.
Question: I sent in the app for my passport renewal with the old one, the pics etc and forgot to put the check in! It was sent to the National Passport Processing Center in Philadelphia.
They rec'd it on the 8th of June...I had it tracked but there is no phone number. I emailed the Passport Bureau in WA but no response. Do I just wait and see what happens...?
Answer: Renewal DS-82 applications that are submitted with either no fee or incorrect fees are returned to the applicant without processing and should be resubmitted. If you can pay with a credit card, call the National Passport Information Center at 1-87-487-2778 to see if you can resolve the issue over the phone.
