Question: We travel extensively - our passports run out in 2 and 5 years, but we have only 2 blank pages left. How blank pages are necessary?
Answer: It depends on which countries you plan to visit. Some countries require only one blank visa page while countries require more. Some countries require your passport have two (2) to four (4) blank visa/stamp pages. Some airlines will not allow you to board if this requirement in not met.
If you have less than 2 to 4 blank visa pages in your passport book, you can apply to have visa pages added to it. All you need to do is mail completed form DS-4085 along with your valid passport to the address on the application.
There is no fee for this service unless you request that it be expedited. Routine service takes 4-6 weeks. Expedited services takes 2-3 weeks.
If you need to get the visa pages added more quickly, you will have to apply at a regional passport agency or through a professional expediter. For more information, Click the links below.
