Question: My sister wants to take me Nassau Bahamas for the Christmas Holiday, but my passport has expired 4/25/09. I do not know where the original passport is but I do have a copy of the passport with my passport number.

I took my passport pics earlier this year, but did not follow through with getting my passport issued. What do I need to do to ensure I can go on this trip?

Since you did not mention the exact date of your trip to the Bahamas, I cannot recommend a processing time. Expediters can obtain same day passports when needed but you must prove the need to travel within two weeks from the date of application.

Since your previously issued passport was lost, you must apply for a new passport. This requires you to appear before an agent at an application acceptance facility. You must present the completed form and sign it in the presence of the agent.
