Video of a Chao Phraya River cruise complete with upbeat Thai music. The Chao Phraya River (often translated River of Kings) is one of the largest in Thailand and serves as a major transportation route for ferries and water taxis.
The boat takes tourists on a circuit of nine piers located on the margin of the Chao Phraya River. The piers will provide you with easy access to some of the most important tourist attractions and riverside hotels.
Sathorn Pier or Central Pier is located below the Taksin Bridge Station of the Skytrain.
Fares for the river boat ride are cheap running between 13-18 Baht (0.38 to 0.52 USD). You should be warned that the boats are sometimes dangerously overcrowded, especially during peak travel season.
