Andaman and Nicobar Islands - India's Perfect Tropical Paradise

Andaman and Nicobar is one of the most beautiful islands in the world where nature reveals itself in its entire splendor. It is considered as one of the most bio-diverse regions in the world. Once you enter Andaman and Nicobar Islands, these scenic islands will give you the feeling of paradise.

For centuries, this place was left cloaked in mystery book because of its inaccessibility. But the present is full of life. The union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands comprises of 300 islands and it lies in the middle of Bay of Bengal. This dream destination famous for eco-tourism was constituted into a union territory in November 1956. The islands are in two groups: The Andaman's and the Nicobar, with a ten degree channel separating the two. They stretch over 500 miles of water in the Bay of Bengal. Geographically, they are situated between the 6th and 14th parallel of north latitude and between 92 degree and 94 degree of east longitude. The Andaman Islands large and small, numbers about 239, the bulk consists of three closely connected large islands, north, middle and south Andaman's while other islands like Baratang and Rut-land almost form one land mass that is the Great Andaman. The Nicobar Islands are a chain of nineteen islands with Car Nicobar as the headquarters of the Nicobar District. The Islands are flat and fertile and the main attractions are the thick coconut groves, and the local huts which are built on stilts.

These picturesque islands burst with life at each and every corner and the nature appears in full bloom. The flight of birds and dance of animals make these islands even more beautiful. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands shimmer like emeralds in the blue water of Bay of Bengal. The exotic flowers, trees and dense forests add more romance in the air of these islands. The places of interest in this beautiful place are many. You can visit Gandhi Park near Port Blair and enjoy the facilities like amusement rides, safe water sports, nature trail around the lake garden, restaurants and historic remaining like Japanese temple. If you are a lover of marine life, you can visit the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park made up of open sea, creeks and fifteen small and large islands and this park is considered as one of the best in the world. If you love sea and want to bask on the sun-kissed beaches, then visit the Islands like Jolly Buoy, Cinque Islands, Red Skin Islands, Havelock Island,

Barren Island and Ross Island. If you relish eating exotic food, then this is the place to be in. You can reach out to this place by air. There are regular flights to Port Blair from Calcutta and Chennai.
